ELLUMINATE
After some initial problems on March 13th, it appears that all the participants were able to connect and employ Elluminate to great advantage.
Just in case, here are some tips for first time users of Elluminate:
You will need a computer with an internet connection to use Elluminate. Go to the following webpage to ensure you have the required Java enabled browser.
http://www.elluminate.com/support/ If you see a Red X when you access this webpage, this means you will need to load the java scrip in order to continue. Once you confirm that your computer has Java, click the “Configuration Room” button to complete the testing process.
Our Tuesday Elluminate meeting will use "Voice-over-IP (internet voice). You will need a soundcard, speakers or headset, to hear and speak with the presenter and participants during the meeting.
We are presently attempting to obtain a Phone Bridge from Elluminate to permit participation in the meeting by phone. For the time being, assume that we will use VOIP - you will receive an update if a phone connection is available.
